During the meeting, alongside other socio-economic issues, a Development Program for the Pulp and Paper, Wood Processing, and Furniture Industries of the country for 2026–2030 was approved. The program is based on the principles and approaches adopted at the Council meeting in November 2024 and outlined in the Strategy for the Development of the Pulp and Paper, Wood Processing, and Furniture Industries of the Republic of Belarus through 2035.

According to the program, the main priority will be the processing of wood into products with high added value. As part of the strategy’s implementation, new production facilities focused on import-substituting products will be established, which will also stimulate the development of new technologies and the creation of new enterprises in related industries.
